Today’s Lesson                                     
Prayer Point - Pray that the Lord of peace will abide with you always.

Previous Knowledge - Teacher should remind students of what the previous week's lesson was based upon. Teacher finds out how the lesson impacted the lives of the students. Teacher ensures that students carry out their assignments for the previous week.

A. BIBLE PASSAGE -Judges 6:12-24

B. Memory Verse - "For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;" Ephesians 2:14.

C. Lesson Introduction - The peace of God is incomprehensible but capable of keeping our hearts and minds through Jesus Christ. The Lord in His sovereignty gives peace to His people. Today, we will be looking at God as Jehovah Shalom, the Lord our peace. May the Holy Spirit continue to teach us as usual and help us to be doers of the word, In Jesus' name. Amen.

TEACHER'S DIARY

A. Lesson Aim - To study on Jehovah Shalom which means the Lord is our Peace.

B. Teaching Objectives and Lesson Plan

i. At the end of the lesson, students should be able to understand the full meaning of Jehovah Shalom.

ii. They should also be able to discover that there is no peace with the wicked.
To achieve these objectives, teacher explains the various instances where peace is required. Teacher cautions students from taking the part of the wicked which will eliminate peace.

C. Text Review - Judges 6:12-24
i. Jehovah Shalom has power over fear and death. Judges 6:23
ii. Oppression of the Egyptians and Midianites must be broken. Judges 6:2
iii. The increase of the earth can no longer be destroyed. Judges 6:4
iv. Calamity can no longer befall the people. Judged 6: 13
v. Jehovah Shalom can make the poorest and the least to become a mighty man of valour. Judges 6: 16
vi. Through Jehovah Shalom, place of oppression can become place of the altar. Judges 6: 11, 24

D. Teaching Method - Teacher should use lecture teaching method.

E. Time Management - 15 minutes for Opening, 30 minutes for Lesson Outline, Summary, Conclusion and Assignment, 15 minutes for General Review.

2. Lesson Outlines

i. LESSON OUTLINE 1 JEHOVAH SHALOM

ii. Jehovah Shalom means the Lord our Peace - Judges 6:24.

iii. Jehovah Shalom is all you need in the face of fear and confusion, stiff opposition, hatred and doubt. Genesis 43:23a; I Samuel 25:6; Luke 24:36; John 20:20-21

iv. Jehovah Shalom is all that is needed in all homes to make a headway, to fulfil God's purpose and destiny and to break arrows of quarrel and waste.

v. Peace is Christ's legacy for His children. I Peter5:14; John 14:27; Isaiah 26:3

vi. Shalom is an ambassador of Christ's language when going on evangelism.

Jesus said, "and unto every house you enter first say, Peace unto this house". Luke 10:5

Class Activity 1 - Discuss why there are wars among nations when Jehovah Shalom is alive.
ii. LESSON OUTLINE 2 - NO PEACE FOR THE WICKED

i. Anyone who possesses the following traits or characters is a wicked fellow:

Unfaithfulness, envy, evil-plots, lies, flatteries, bitterness, iniquities, etc. Psalm 37: 12; Psalm 52:3; Psalm 64:3; Proverbs 14:6; Isaiah 1:4
ii. The wicked are not lovers of God or Christ, therefore, cannot enjoy the peace of Christ or the peace of the Prince of Peace. Isaiah 57:19-21; Romans 8:6; Galatians 6: 16
Iii. The wicked is reserved for destruction. Ezekiel 7:25; Ezekiel 13:1 O.
Class Activity 2 - Can the world be free of the wicked? Members should discuss the question.

SUMMARY - The peace of Christ is for His children who d His will. No peace is left with the wicked except they repent.

CONCLUSION - Christ is our Peace if we believe Him wholeheartedly.
